Tie - Hand Painted Silk by Dominique Bello

Fabulous, one-of-a-kind hand painted ties by Dominique Bello are
offered exclusively through our Shop. We have commissioned Dominique
to paint ties, scarves, jackets and coats for us over the years, either
complementing current exhibits or utilizing textile/surface designs
that have inspired her. Originally from France, where she graduated
from the French Ecole des Beaux Arts, Dominque has lived in Beirut and
Cairo where her love of Islamic art and textiles flourished, and
currently resides in Washington, DC and Zimbabwe. The ties are all silk
(including the color coordinated lining), ranging from shantung to
crepe de chine, hand painted and hand finished.
